Several years ago I was inspired by a friend, with only one question, that led to a challenge, that became the beginning of Idell Guitars.
Hi; I'm Patrick I am a Luthier, I build solid body electric guitars. I started building guitars as a personal challenge to myself. After the first one being a success, I started building for family, for the enjoyment and practice. I am a life long resident of Louisiana; currently reside in the village of pine prairie, which is were I build custom made guitars. After learning to play the guitar at the age of twelve, I decided to build them at the age of Fifty three, which I did. I accomplished this on my own through extensive reserch, trial and error. I have always worked with wood starting at a very young age, so the concept of putting one together came easy to me. Inspired by guitar makers sush as Gibson USA and Fender mfg. which makes excellant quality guitars I set out to build guitars of equal or greater quality, workmanship, sound and playabilty.
